Those stinkin bastards at Ebay are complicit in this.
Select UK only and they'll still give you a shit ton of chinese sourced goods.
I know if I can wait a couple of weeks I can get stuff at very good prices, but sometimes I need it sharpish and dishonest info on a listing infuriates me.
I send em strongly worded letters in green ink I do
that'll learn em

I hear ya there. eBay should have a filter "sort by fastest delivery."

I have been caught by this too.

E-bay lists by UK supplier but sometimes item location is listed as being in China if you look carefully.

I normally don't go for the cheapest anymore because the advert feels.. foreign.

Even signatures are no guarantee.

T-Mobile sent me an iPhone once that was apparently signed for at my house by someone called Eric while I was 200 miles away. Not a shared house, no one was home. I had to buy another and wait a (very skint) month for an investigation to happen before they refunded me. They concluded the courier had probably taken it but couldn't prove it.

### had this one before as well

parcel force left a note saying delivered to loacal po

local po was in shop where wife was manager at the time

no phone left at po as was delivered during the lunchbreak of the post office person so post office was closed
also signed for by someone who didn't work on that particular day anyway
took a month to get a phone sorted that time
