I’m curious as to what this issue might be, and I figure someone here will know. I have a new Suzuki 110 scooter, and the rear drum brake pulses regardless of how much it’s applied, even dragging the brake lightly in traffic it can be felt, it feels warped, although I know it clearly a different principal to a disc. So what’s gone wrong inside the drum to cause this affect, the bike has literally always done this, it only has 300 miles on the clock

Many Thanks

Paul

Drum could be out of round, a bit like a warped disk. If it's only got 300 miles I assume it's covered by warranty so take it to the dealer to look at.

If it has sat it could also be rust spots in the drum, the mechanism could be off centre or the pads could be a dodgy shape.

Thanks for the info, yeah, it’s got to go back to the dealer for 500 mile service, so I’ll get them to look at it. It’s been stored inside since I’ve had it, I would presume it’s never really seen the wet. Bit strange, might be a manufacturing fault, it’s hardly a ‘high end’ vehicle Wink
