Too many variables to say for certain. What plastic, what paint? As you say, the material safety data sheet (MSDS) is a bit vague. Even then, it states that it has between 5-20% xylene which is likely to attack a range of plastics. Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover is £7 in Halfords. Put your hand in your pocket. What are the Velcro pads for anyway? |

Naptha, xylene,3-butoxypropan-2-ol, amine alkyl benzene sulphonate.
It depends on what your plastic will stand. I'd go petrol or "universal thinners", mesel'. |

I'd try the white spirit first.
It might leave a white powdery residue, but you can wipe that off with some kitchen roll. ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |

I'd use IPA. Because properties. It will remove oils but mix with water.
Should've bought 3M branded pads. I have a wooden mast foot held into my vinyl canoe with dualock pads. It'll take a 20sq ft sail doing 12 knots without moving, while immersed in water. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
