Gunson Colortune - using hints?

I've been given a chance to have a play with one of these (via trusting friend who unfortunately doesn't come along with it ).
Not had chance before to try one myself
Anyone any hints and tips on using it?

dont use the extension tube on an air cooled engine because it will melt, dont do it it bright sunlight.
