I have not accessed any news media since the end of May last year. Is there anything I need to know? I'm vaguely aware that we are supposed to be booted out of Eurotopia at the weekend and that's about it.

The only "big ticket" issue since last May is that the Eurozone economy is about the kick the bucket again, many of them already have and Germany is going to which is when you really know its bad. Euro elections in May this year, with a failing Eurozone economy, migration on the rise and extremists taking control of Spain and Italy.

Also Trump and China are having a truce for now.

I never listen to the radio. I don't read news online much. I could just as easily not watch tv news.
I missed a whole general election once, and had no idea for months who the Prime Minister was.
It's actually quite blissful. What's happening in the news from day to day actually has no effect on my life whatsoever, and it has nearly always been that way for me.
