I have a sofa.
It's covers literally every millimetre between the skirting board between two walls.
Once placed, it'll cover a couple of wall sockets which ideally I'd like to access.
Do plugs / extensions exists which don't sit as proud as a conventional 13amp plug?
Is cutting the material on the side of the sofa the only option available ?

Google doesn't seem to help, but maybe I'm using the wrong terminology. ....

Thanks.

I've run an extension lead out the back of a socket as a spur; 20 years later, still no fires or deaded kittens.

I was thinking of doing the same, but it's within an extention to the main house, so I'm sure it's already a spur.

Can you spur a spur? ... I thought that was a no-no?

Hmm... I might have to blank it off and move it perhaps. ... seems like a lot of aggro for very little payoff. Cheers shaggy.

So how about replacing the socket with a fused connection unit; you'd have a flex coming out of a knockout on its bottom edge, leading to a trailing socket. Unconventional, but I'd have thought kosher and safe?
