I will wait until I can read the customer reviews on the
Halfords website.

IMO, having a wiper blade on a plastic visor is
not a good idea. Some day in the far distant future,
someone will build and test an automatic visor wiper
and make it available for independent testing/review.....

It's going to scratch. I don't care what they claim. Even car windscreens scratch during wet only application - dirt is in the water from road spray.

Another solution to a problem that's not really there, much like those auto tyre monitor things.
All I do is move my head sideways a little and water is blown off.

looks handy for toilet use. How strong is the motor?

Wipey (Slovenia) was in the Rainpal thread but then they went quiet. Some progress appears to have been made though. Adam will be peeved.

It does in Slovenia as Wipey d.o.o. (limited liability company).

I like this one, can we keep it?

Of course it does.

It's "as simple as using your sonic toothbrush."

Google says "most electric toothbrushes emit ultrasound and sonic waves — as many as 16,000 strokes per minute"

Joking aside, this one is at least made in a halfway practical manner.

Still doesn't make it good.

We've got WiPEY claiming to be the first of its kind in the world and that it's a revolutionary safety gadget but we all know that [name retracted]® is the world's only wiper for visors.

WiPEY has the significant advantage in that you can discuss the pros and cons of the product without incurring the wrath of their solicitors. But it "does not effectively clean bugs from you helmet visor" so will it end up making a smeary mess on your visor rather than drastically improving safety when riding in the rain?

I don't like the sound of this bit: "You only need to “prepare” each helmet visor, to use a WiPEY. There comes a tiny plastic part, a linear guides, which must be permanently fixed to helmet visor - using 2 tiny screws, size M2. This means, you have to make two tiny, 2 mm holes in the visor. Anyone can do it under 2 minutes. No power tools needed. The set includes mount installation kit, with instructions."

Would WiPEY + BikeJet (remember that?) = BikeyWiPEYJET? Wub

Now that there's competition, are we going to see a resurgence in activity from the ungrown man? How will WiPEY compare to NobWipe 2.0? How many connections does the inventor of WiPEY have on LinkedIn?

Wiper wars. There can only be one winner. Twisted Evil

Old Thread Alert!
