Hi all. Ive just rode home from work and when i rev the hornet past 6k it gets very vibey. Am i right in thinking this is the cam Chain tensioner. You can hear a bit of slack anyway. Im gunna put a manual one in but wanted some thoughts. TIA

That could be anything - think simple first.
For me I'd check the engine bolts (holding it into the frame) are tight.

Similar engine to cbr600f which had dodgy tensioner, you can take them out and check/reset but you need a specific key shape or screwdriver can do it too.

Is the rattle there when revving and not moving? Is the rattling from the cam chain end?

Find the problem, then fix it.
Don't fit a manual tensioner. If the tensioner has failed, reset it or get another normal one.

I do find it bewieldering the number of people who think that fitting a manual cam chain tensioner is the solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
