I am looking at fitting a 130/90-16 rear tyre on my CB Two Fifty (MC26) in place of the standard size 120/90-16. This is not just to have a fatter rear tyre but to allow me to fit a Bridgestone BT45.

Has anyone else fitted a slightly bigger rear tyre onto one of these bikes? Any issues?

Just fit a 120/90/16 BT45, seems to be the easier solution.

Certainly would be. Couldn't agree more. If Bridge stone did a 139/90-16 REAR tyre then I would.

9? 0? What's fat fingers between friends?

Bridgestone do indeed make a 120/90-16 tyre. Just not a rear one.

Sadly tyre choices for the CB250 are very limited, the only decent rear tyre would be a City Demon.

Fitting a larger tyre is not a good idea...

Yes they do, I bought one last week for a customers CB250 Nighthawk, ebay has a choice of Bridgestone 120/90/16 and 120/80/16 plus some used tyres for sale.

Going from a 120 to a 130 on that bike is unlikely to cause any trouble, it's not like its some highly strung sports bike that would be sensitive to minor changes.

As long as you have 5mm clearance from the swingarm and chain, go for it. I would also go for the 130/80 if the original is a 120/90, to get about the same circumference.
