Looking to book first track day this year, just wondering whether it's worth buying a cheap 600 or taking my commuter bike.

Currently commuting to work each day on a R1 03, don't have a car so if I bin it then it will be the train to work.

Would it be a better idea to buy an old ZX6 for say a grand and use that instead?

More likely to crash on the road unless you're being a complete plum to be honest.

Or buy an ER5 for the road and use the R1 on track?

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
