need some new rubber on the back before summer - i only ride in nice weather so id prefer something pretty sticky and not good in the wet.

its for a 600RR and i only really do twisties with a tiny bit of motorway if desperately needed.

Currently running Pirelli diablo rosso tyres on mine. Not tried them in the wet but on dry roads I'm impressed.
Just one thing - get someone else to fit them because the side walls are tough and makes changing them frustrating.

Just make sure you get them up to temp before attempting anything too crazy, they stick like glue once warmed up, not so much when cold.

Very nearly lost the back end into a corner last summer after making a 15 minute stop. It was +30C that day, wasn't thinking and didn't realise they would cool down so quickly Embarassed I think a little bit of poo might have came out.

I've never had a problem with cold grip with them... But they aren't like the touring tyres on my VFR, I have to say.

Another vote for Metzlers. (Pirelli group of companies)
I have Sportec or something from and rear.
And don't fit a different brand on one position.
Your rr will be noticeable better with the matched pair.
Front and rear wear together. The front is usually only a month or so behind the rear. So more phaph to find t tyre and a shop to fit.
I only fit one if the tyre gets fcuked up before it reaches 1/2 worn.

Are they really that bad? I have them on my street triple R. I intend to commute on it so will encounter rain on many occasions.

Those and Metzeller racetecs are the only tyres that I have spun up in a straight line in only slightly damp conditions.

Wet weather is like ice.

I've never had that problem with them? Admittedly the Maxxis touring tyres on my VFR are better in the wet, but they weren't that bad?
