I'd rather see the world burn and the human race to die out than give an inch to Greenpeace.

Fuck it, dignity > survival Evil or Very Mad

"We went into that event announcing who we were very clearly, we were there to make a very important point - that we are in a climate emergency - to a roomful of people who are actually capable of making some very profound decisions."

She said the activist is trained and experienced in non-violent direct action. Greenpeace activists were prepared to face legal consequences for their actions, Ms Hamid said, but "what they have not signed up for is physical assault".

It was "quite ludicrous" to suggest that the protester might have been armed, Ms Hamid added.

....

But one of Mr Field's Conservative colleagues, Sir Peter Bottomley MP, said he had done nothing wrong.

"I think Mark Field did the right thing. He prevented the woman going further, he reversed her direction and she went out pretty willingly," he told the BBC.

"He intervened - I congratulate him for that, I would have done the same. Although she may have been harmless, others won't be."

Sir Peter said that attacks on MPs and their staff meant that such protests could not be ignored. "Not intervening often has a cost, and if this becomes a fashion, there will be casualties," he said.

In a statement given to ITV News, Mr Field - who is the Foreign Office minister for Asia and the Pacific - said: "In the confusion many guests understandably felt threatened and when one protester rushed past me towards the top table I instinctively reacted.

"There was no security present and I was for a split-second genuinely worried she might have been armed.

"As a result I grasped the intruder firmly in order to remove her from the room as swiftly as possible.

He acted correctly and his actions weren't unreasonable. The fact they think they're trained and experienced in non-violent direct action is irrelevant.

Oh I agree, but his enemies/opposition are going to make mincemeat out of him over it.

After recent events we’re supposed to believe militant lefties aren’t likely to armed with something, when they approach a right wing politician to attack them?

What planet is this on?

If it was Jo Brand with a cup of coffee I'd shoot her and claim potential acid attack. Dance!

When they said they "went into that event announcing who we were", I wonder whether they announced it to the rather sparse security personnel on the door, or as soon as they commenced protesting inside the function.

I do have to admit that had she been stashing acid, or a knife or something, and attacked. People would be criticized for having done nothing.

Yup they just walked in and could easily have been planning to throw various foodstuffs over anyone they got near since that's the on-trend weapon of choice.
Being pushed out of a private function room you aggressively invaded isn't what I would call assault.

She was smirking as she was left out and now all of a sudden is suffering from complete snowflake meltdown and the trauma of physical assault.

She's a left wing, militant fascist, who went there with the sole intention of disrupting everyone else's night at a private event. When she goes for a right wing politician, during a time where fascist lefties are being encouraged to attack right wing politicians, wonders why he got all defensive over her invasion of the event.

Hypocrites the lot of them. This lot need to understand they're breaking the law doing this and claiming it was a peaceful protest doesn't stick. A peaceful protest can be held outside, without trespassing and crashing an event.

Forget trespass they're just fucking rude. Fuck them, fuck the whale, fuck the planet, let it all burn if the human race can produce such waste of DNA Evil or Very Mad

When will these leftist extremists realise that you know what, its OK to respond with an equal and opposite right reaction, and that UK people don't want to walk egg shells and probably aren't going to do so much longer in this hate to offend anyone culture that's ruined the UK.?

I think it's just the 'grabbing her by the neck' thing rather than ejecting her.

If a security guard had done it there wouldn't be any of this sh1t flying around, It's just politics. Rolling Eyes

My view is, was force required to eject her?
I think yes, she wasn't going to leave if politely asked.
So then, was the force proportionate, the minimum required?
I think yes, if you'd just given her a little push, she wouldn't have left, and she didn't suffer any injury.

What I think is disproportionate is that this chap's career may now be damaged - is that proportional to her 'suffering'? I think not.

She was also smirking when interviewed later, which says it all.

Not that I particularly blame him but you can't grab a woman by the neck and expect to get away with it as a politician.

This is the green death cult's final solution, and damn near to achieving it too because politicians dare not stand up to them.

Two generations have been indoctrinated through schools and mainstream media into feeling they must have their lives controlled.

It's the latest incarnation of socialist utopia as first attempted by Stalin.

In the future the rich will still have their Ferraris and Lambos... they'll just sit in garages unmoving.

While on the streets the outlaws will be tearing about on motorbikes running on fuel made in illicit refineries and distilleries.

I'm looking forward to it! Something like a HD is going to be the loudest "FUCK YOU" you can have on the road in 2050 Twisted Evil

78 won't be too old for a litre bike?

Having little march on Thursday afternoon allows them to have a clear conscience when they abandon their morals and principles for the rest of the festival. Thumbs Up
