You are from MK aren't you? So I presume you are talking about the new Groveway roundabout. I'll see that and raise you the British rail bridge with the collapsing wall on the A5 that's had the slip road from Redmoor roundabout closed for in excess of six months so far.

The Chinese would have built a 3 mile suspension bridge, 5 supertankers and a state run brothel in the time it take us to rebuild a wall. Rolling Eyes

Nope, this is Basingstoke, and the wonderfully inefficient we don’t give a crap about climate change or for that matter causing traffic chaos whilst we are buggering about rebuilding a roundabout for 2 years Hampsire County Council Highways.

Nice to know others are incompetent as well.

This was the answer given by Network Rail as to why it took in excess of six months to build a wall.

All they seem to do is find a way to piss off the general public.

Just Stop Oil: Five arrested after protesters disrupt Les Miserables

I'd be bloody furious if I'd paid west end prices to watch this and those little cvnts stormed the stage and spoiled my evening.

"the audience were asked to leave the auditorium and the Met Police attended"."Regrettably, there was insufficient time to enable us to complete the rest of the performance," he said in a statement.

Is the utter dislike they are cementing with the general person in the street worth it to get their point across? Probably to them but if they don't engender public support, their protests are going to have little or no effect.

Oh, and this little gem popped up on my feed. You would think they wouldn't advertisee the fact on an aeroplane. Laughing

If the house trombonist was more on the ball, he could have given them an appropriate accompaniment as they ran around on the stage.

Something like this?

Starting with the Communist principle of "Rule or Ruin" they're using textbook disruption tactics, e.g. Rules for Radicals:
Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
Never go outside the expertise of your people.
Whenever possible go outside the expertise of the enemy.
Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules.
Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. There is no defense. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.
A good tactic is one your people enjoy.
A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
    Keep the pressure on.
The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.
The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.
If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will break through into its counterside; this is based on the principle that every positive has its negative.
The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.
Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.

tl;dr keep poking your opponent to goad them into overacting then whine "why did you hit me?!"

No. You lead with Entry of the Gladiators then segue into Yackety-sax when security come on stage and start chasing them about.

I'm surprised no-one's already made that. The sheet music for both is probably available, maybe a little project for one of our members?

Because they're both Rent-a-Mob and both controlled by the same people.

An interesting read if nothing else....
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-67288289

XR founder convicted after four-year legal saga.

Looks like she was fcuked over because of the Colston statue saga.

The pandemic delayed her trial - and it was then put off amid a political row over the acquittal of protesters who had toppled the controversial Bristol statute of slave trader Edward Colston. Following that case, the Court of Appeal ruled that the right to protest under human rights law could not be used to avoid conviction for violent demonstrations that cause significant damage.

Yet

Earlier this week, a separate trial of eight environmental protesters who were accused of damaging the Treasury by spraying it with fake blood ended in acquittals.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the results of trials although Isuppose without reading the whole transcripts we are relying on the media for an objective report. Rolling Eyes

Sounds like the judge didn't want her grandstanding, fair enough.

The outcomes in these cases depend a lot on the locality. In most places jurors will consider the case and give the verdict accordingly. Choose jurors from Bristol and any sense of justice goes out the window.

We've all had a good larf with the many social media videos of Just Stop Oil protesters getting beaten up and run over by enraged drivers but it's nice to see what really goes on at these protests:

Public Interviews at Palestine AND Just Stop Oil Protests - Konstantin Kisin

I think "Luxury Beliefs" best describes most of them Sad

I'm going to pick my daughter up from LHR tonight and have just discovered that the airport is within the new ULEZ zone so I have to pay £12.50 for my nasty polluting anti Greta mobile (Jaguar).

Fair enough but to me it seems my grubby little car powered by dinosaur effluent is rather innocuous in the polluting stakes compared to hundreds of bloody great planes going in and out of LHR every day. Evil or Very Mad

Do they pay £12.50 each time?

Yes if they are older than 2007 unless you can prove Nox levels are compliant.
