Accountancy as a living, remember...

The usual complaint about tax going up is people who have been caught in the IR 35 rules.

So why has yours?

I don't do personal or corporate taxation.

I'm not really aware of any taxes going up in the last couple of years.

Another one...

Insulate Britain: Arrests as protesters walk alongside M25 traffic

Quote:
Insulate Britain protesters caused delays on the M25 by walking alongside oncoming traffic, police said.

The protest group said the decision to stop sitting in the middle of roads had been made following "feedback" from frustrated drivers.

OMG, how exceedingly generous of them!

And in other news The Terminator sings sweetly from the hymn sheet:

COP26: Arnold Schwarzenegger angered by world leaders' climate policies

I was saying this a while back but where is The Cathedral? We know the hymn sheets are being handed out when Greta proverbially left one lying around earlier in the year but somebody or some thing is typing this shit up Thinking

This COP26 shite. I say shite because there's going to be lots of hot air (and shite from Biden Whistle ) but in reality, what fucking good is it for little Mary to put her recycling in the right bin when India come up with this.

India pledges a net zero target for 2070 - 20 years later than the summit target.

Personally I suspect Modri is after great big donations from the west because 'India is a very very poor country and we can't afford to do anything ourselves'.

China has made no new commitments either and Biden can't get his finances through senate or whichever house it is so not a lot is going to happen.

Also, China, Russia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa and Irans' leaders are not attending. Add to that Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is fucking off home because he wasn't given the same security as Biden so his nose is out of joint. “We will not allow the dignity and honour of our country to be harmed,” He said when he left. Laughing

A joke. Xtinction rebellion and Infiltrate Britain will be out gluing themselves to everything after this and to a certain extent I can't blame them even if it will do fuck all good.

How long have we got? I think the world is supposed to end next Friday isn't it? Although I'm not sure if it's because of climate change, racism, transphobia, Brexit, or that perennial favourite, Donald Trump.

Some good news, Boris as says this is "the last-chance saloon" and China, Russia, etc. said "poke it" there'll be no need for COP27 Smile Or what's it gonna be next time? "Look, guys, I know I said things were really desperate a year ago but we really have to pull together now!"

Here's hoping for a really cold winter where they'll be frozen to the tarmac rather than needing glue - so much more environmentally friendly!

How about a "white pill" for a change:

The 'bullet' airplane that could revolutionize business aviation

MPG more like a truck than a plane, ideal to get a climate summit in style perhaps Smile The main downside is the design doesn't scale very well and you don't want it to ice up, affects the laminar flow.

I was considering climate change recently.

One aspect where there is an almost ringing silence is population control.

There's too much carbon because there are too many people. There a 4 times as many people as there were 100 years ago.

Half the number of people, half the amount of CO2. We need to stop encouraging and actively helping people to breed. Here's somewhere Westerners can make a significant difference with because the carbon footprint of a first world human being is comparatively massive.

Yet governments are actively encouraging and supporting people to have kids due to economic concerns over what happens to their tax income if all the people are retired.

I keep saying this. Yes, the 1st world is guilty of a large carbon footprint but every human on the planet wants that lifestyle and that's why China has such envoinmental problems. A billion+ people of which the majority expect 1st world lifestyle and therefore 1st world infrastructure.

China, the only country in the world that tried population control and as well as push back from insid the country had all the world bleating about it's violation of the human right to breed.

We will reap what we sow and unless we can develop an unlimited clean power source we will supply enough to keep the masses happy. That's just power. Then bring in food and water...........

One day are we going to see a 'Logans run society'. Euthanise everyone over 70 or who isn't productive.

Or was that tried in the past and called National Socialism.

I've said it before - let climate change happen, population gets reduced, planet resets, problem solved Very Happy
