This country is full of total wimps at least down south.
They would get arses kicked out of it if they tried it somewhere like Middlesbrough.
And they know it which is why they don't even try.

I wish someone would drag off the shit eastern European road working squads who've been building our shite roads for the last twenty years, maybe we can get to building roads where you can actually get somewhere without having to detour around roadworks fixing the road only put down eighteen months earlier.

Those idiots were dragged from roads and the roofs of tube trains by softie Southerners too. It became more difficult when they started using superglue.

They’ll really cop it when the protest moves to the N. Yorks. National Park, right?

You see down south a road being blocked is a real issue for southerners as they're very busy trying to get to the local hospital to visit their dying granny (she does this on a regular basis under contract to GB News), meanwhile, oop norf its not worth the time of the protesters because northern-granny (TM) hasnt even been taken to hospital having been taken out the back of the no doubt deeply squalid two up two down to be bludgeoned to death and then dismembered ready to be put out in the street for pickup by the rag and bone man.

Easiest would be to leave them there and just drive round them and oops, was that your hand I just crushed? Or jet wash them, that's how you normally clean shit off the roads.

In Middlesbrough or Darlington anyone driving will be going to weld girders and make wind turbines, no Grannies are involved.

Actually some truth to this. They said they were going to block the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow (which bi-sects the city carrying the M8 motorway bridging the North and South sides of Glasgow and joins with the tri-secting M74.

They would need the police to get there fast, not to try and remove them but save them from getting the shit kicked out of them. There's no way vans full of workies at 08:00AM in the height of traffic would be forgiving to some soft insulation wankers.

Went down my local club this afternoon (sports/working mans) and it's surprising how switched on the average Joe is. We're talking plumbers, plasterers, labourers etc. but they all know what's going on at Davos, WHO, the Spanish Covid passport scam, booster bollox and Climate Change grifting... none of that's on the BBC News and barely in the red tops AFAIK Thinking

Hadn't realised the insanity had spread so far:

Camouflaged figures lurking in the bush expose Australia's angst over climate activists

It seems to follow the same pattern: use extreme tactics to protest and bait the government into drafting more draconian laws. Education on Climate Change or a subtle way to push world governments towards authoritarianism? Releasing Covid-19 had similar effects, especially in Oz Thinking

Note to self: buy more tin foil.

Doing what the activists want would wreck the economy and cause thousands if not millions of deaths.
It is not surprising that draconian rules are put in place by degrees ( Laughing ).

The increased surveillance and control of free movement is the real goal or at least a useful by product. Both covid and climate are pretty much imaginary disasters which nobody would have noticed if not given saturation coverage and had $billions spent on them.

I know it's a bit boring but why should we wear hair shirts when China and India wouldn't? At least for the foreseeable future.

Interestingly if the effects of Climate Change are as dramatic as the grifting doom mongers totally unbiased scientists make out it could only benefit China. If the Artic ice cap melts permanently they have a whole new shipping route instead of relying on the Straits of Malacca.

I saw an interesting graphic showing that China now burns more coal than the rest of the world combined.
The reason behind it is simple enough, so much stuff we used to make here is now made there and shipped out.
We exported our CO2 footprint and in order to be even greener Rolling Eyes want to boost that further by making producing almost everything - even food - uneconomic here.

The obvious answer is that we’ve been filling the atmosphere with all that bad stuff since the Industrial Revolution while reaping the economic benefits. Now China and India want to catch up and we say whoa! Think of the cheeldren.

On the other hand, haven’t they caught up already? We’re not talking Amazonian lost tribes here.

If ‘climate change’ is due to human interventions, and indeed if it isn’t, I think we should be focussing on how we’ll deal with change rather than trying to prevent it.

Totally agree. We are never going to keep global warmng, if it is because of us humans, under control. Anything we do pales into insignificance with China and India burning coall and oil. Brazil chopping down the rain forests for timber and farming lands, Indonesia doing the same for palm oil pantations.

No one is going to stop it.Every one of the 8 billion people on earth want I phones, fancy cars etc. etc. They aren't going to be stopped as the majority probably don't even know about climate change, and care even less.

"The sins of the [great-great-great-grand] Father." Oh yes, the ideologs love that one Rolling Eyes A simple lie for the easily bewildered. It's only true for America and mostly from the '60s onwards. You'd need all of Europe's industry from a century before WWII to get even close.

But as for catch-up I think China went from a net exporter to massive importer of oil in the last decade. And power generation is still lots and lots of coal as that's one resource China has a lot of. Even so they still import almost 10% of what they consume.

Obviously China would be the most polluting country in the world, probably about the same as the rest of the top ten added together Shocked

'China emissions exceed all developed nations combined'

Not entirely true: 'It has taken 30 years for UK emissions to fall 51% below 1990 levels, according to Carbon Brief’s new analysis of government data' (below the graph they explain it).

The difference is we didn't know what we were doing. It's like taking up smoking in the 50's vs now. We've taken steps to address emissions, China, India etc. are just going for 'dirty' expansion because it's cheaper and quicker.

It occurs to me that we need all this climate change, since it will produce more severe weather events which we need to power all these wind turbines.

Pffft. We don't want Pakistan anyway.

Oh, and by the way, aren't we rehousing them all here? Cheeky buggers!

I thought that was the point of the climate guilt narrative, but I guess it also includes them demanding and guilting rather than asking for assistance during disasters now. It seems to be an increasing trend...
WHO boss suggests racism is reason world's 'worst humanitarian crisis' in Ethiopia's Tigray region gets little attention (doesn't remember live aid/8 then)

At the risk of repeating what I wrote above, if you look at emission trajectories ours have fallen massively and theirs are on the way up.

It's basically feel guilty for what you've done and taken steps to address, whilst they (unlike us) knowingly do exactly the same thing... you can actually apply to that to many things we're routinely browbeaten with.
