Does anyone do an electronic rev counter for old twins that run on 12 volts. I am currently running on Pazon Mark 8 ignition with modification by Kirby Rowbotham. Not looking for anything that looks period, just functional. Thanks.

The wire wraps round one of the ignition leads, you need to be able to configure the meter to accept one spark per revolution or one every other.

I’ve got one on my 650 with electronic wasted spark ignition and it works well.

There are prettier things like this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F233107254803

I had one working on a signal from the alternator, but I didn’t isolate it from vibration and it broke.

I just put one of those cheap chinese £7.50 ones off ebay on my bullet.

Remarkably, it works, but reads double because of my wasted spark. I dismantled it with a screwdriver/tinopener and found a pot inside which I twiddled all the way to one end and it seems right now.

3 wires. Switched live, earth and a take-off from the coil LT side.
