Reassure what ive done is ok.

Round headlight motorcycle. I've added a small screen to it, but to do so ive had to take out the headlight retaining bolts and replace them with some longer ones that go through a bracket and some spacers.

I've tightened them right up but i can't get them to fully tighten so they wont move no more like the originals did, ( hope that makes sense), if i go any further it bends the bracket holding the screen and im scared of stripping the thread inside the headlight. (and then having the headlight fall out)

Nothings moving or loose so im hoping this will be fine.
Any advise?

yes welded inside the headlight housing, there's a bracket inside the headlight that the bolt has to go through to get to the threaded part.

The little black hex bolt is the on removed that holds the headlght in.
2nd image is the bracket that the new longer bolt buts up against.

Sounds like because you needs a few extra MM of bolt for the bracket, you've added too much length. Pad it out with washers on the outside edge until you get the right length.
