Wondering if I can get a little help, I parked my VanVan in my garage on Sunday, went to use it yesterday morning and the battery was dead. No click when I turned the ignition, no lights, no horn.

Last night I managed to successfully push start it using a hill near my home, but it was misfiring a lot and very jerky - I couldn’t get out of first gear and couldn’t get above 10mph. Is the battery too depleted for me to ride and charge it? If so, will jump starting it from my car work? The battery is about 6 months old so fairly new.

See what happens if you charge it first, is there any chance something was left turned on?
Batteries can fail much earlier than they should - it might have warranty of 12 months?

If the battery checks out OK suspicion falls on not charging usually a regulator/rectifier failure.
You can detect charging/not charging by noting if headlight gets brighter when you blip throttle from idle.

You might have something drawing power like a short, faulty switch of some kind or damaged wiring.
- Try charging it first -

Thanks for the reply! I'm 90% certain I left the parking light on (its one after the steering lock slot on the ignition switch)

Should I use an actual battery charger or should I jump start it and ride it around?

You may need to charge it a bit, modern bikes need a decent charge in the battery to keep the ECU happy. If you can get it going and keep it going it should be OK.

Bear in mind that basic chargers and tenders might view your battery as faulty: under a certain voltage they refuse to work.

You can cheat this by running another battery in parallel.
