Shad SH45, anyone have one ?

Wondered if I could ask you guys a quick question, I've had GIVI top boxes up until this recent Shad one, I'm not a particular fan of GIVI, just that I've had the universal plates and probably 4 different boxes from that brand, they all fixed on in a particular positive way, the way the box clicked onto the plate at the rear fixing point.
I've just fitted the Shad plate and box to my new scooter (only Shad was available for this bike, hence the change of make) seems that you turn the key to a particular position, then pull down on the lower lever/handle section, and press the box onto the plate, does seem to go on, and the box holds firm, but that lower lever then seems quite slack, it barely wants to push up back flush with the box.
Maybe it's because it's new, maybe they're just like that, anyone find the same, or can comment ?
