Hi everyone, I have just registered and you may be wondering why an ex pat living in Spain would be here. Or maybe not, lol. I still travel back to dear ol' blighty, Lincolnshire as it happens and I am still very keen on the Uk motorcycle community's news and views.

I am a member of a small but friendly biking club here in Spain, near Torrevieja in the Alicante province. I put together videos of our trips and rides and if it is ok, I will share a link to them in the right section as and when.

I have a 2001 Bandit 600 and ride in the amazing weather and scenery of Spain as much as I can.

Looking forward to being part of this board. Smile

Hey Bumhugger, do you find precipitation on your visor to be an issue or do you not get much rain there?

We do get rain, yes. Not often but when we do, it isn't so much an issue as more like, 'OMFG, that's MY car floating down the road' type of stuff.

It's nothing like as bad as it was, no idea when you were last there. The town centre has been prettied up a fair bit and pedestrianised. The majority of Spanish towns ain't pretty once you get away from the plaza, Torrevieja is no different in that respect to be honest. I am in a village on the outskirts. Chose it cause we like where the house is.

Hello. I spent a lot of time in Ferrol, which is about as far away from Torrevieja that you can get while staying in Spain.

A fact that could be put in the 'not very interesting facts' thread. Cool
