Bike failed MOT for something mid May, and also had the following advisory

* (Day time mot only. Motorcycle only to be used during day time hours & not times of reduced visibility)

later in the month, different placed, it passed with the following advisory

* Central (no lights fitted at time of test)

Just wondered why the differently worded advisories on the two documents? Question

They are both manual advisories, as in they are manually typed in they can say whatever the tester is trying to get across, they also don't need to be there at all.

the tester in the first instance has no authority to impose any conditions on the MOT. Like the second it's a covering note so that should an incident occur later there's a record that the lights weren't fitted when he saw it.

Different wording for the same 'cover your arse' statement.
