Hi

I am new to the forum and new to the mini quads

I have purchased one for my Grandson and I am checking it over to ensure it is safe.

I have a 2012 LMA1V-049B-S, this is a 2 stroke 50cc, pull start mini moto quad.

I have a few issues some of which I am able to sort just out of mechanical experience and common sense but I have an electrical issue that I need some advice with

Behind the panels there is a bracket and it looks like two wires green and black/white the black/white may be a positive and the green is earth. I need to know what is missing and what the wires are for

The other issue is the brake calipers, I have circled an adjuster and need to know if this is for tightening up the caliper as one way I have lots of movement in the caliper and the other way it holds the caliper a little firmer.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

Dave

A quick look at generic Chinese ATV wiring diagrams suggests that those wires used to go to the keyswitch. Probably used to be in that hole. Until it was nicked Wink

Thanks

That makes sense, I will have to see if I can purchase a replacement

How is it that the engine will still run with the wires cut?

Thanks again

It's a switch that grounds the spark to earth, pretty common on early bikes
