Looks like they want £3000 for this with 7000 miles on the clock:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mutt-Mongrel-Motorcycle/113769776056

And the list price for a new one? £3700 + OTR!

https://muttmotorcycles.com/pages/mongrel-250

Really?! Are they that sort after?

No, they're not that sought after.

Wink

It will go for maybe £2,500 if the seller is lucky.

Random banter?

Nah it's worth £2k to a bored Hipster, and the rest of us wouldn't pay fifty quid for it.

A chancer hoping that a hipster with too much money impulse buys the thing before researching the actual price when new.

I'd rather get the bike it's ripping off.

Yes, and you would be amazed how many things in auction mode go for more than the buy it now price in the end.

People are very gullible.

Especially ones who have just come back form the pub at midnight on a Saturday. Embarassed

I couldn't really decide whether this was an eBay thing or a bike thing... somehow it didn't feel important enough to pollute the General section.

I'm always trawling eBay for something - mostly nuts and bolts and then cocking up the thread pitch!

It always amazes me that you can search for something like a helmet and find some "New with defects" that doesn't sound good Shocked

£3700 for a simple looking single in dull Matt black? And a brown saddle? WTUF? Surely any sane human being would need paying £3700 to ride any bike with a brown seat? Neutral

Oh and how much power do you get for your £3700? 20, 22? Awesome value for money, unless I've missed a point somewhere?

Holy Crap, I had no idea that was a 250, the engine looks more like a 125. Hardly a popular bike plus it's has KM instead of MPH which is questionable.

The Suzuki version does look like a fun ride though.

We had some wank stain on here with one who cried when it spilled fuel out because he clearly overfilled it.

Not worth anything much.

If that's the style of bike you like better off going for a Mash 400, same ved bracket, and, absolutely cracking bike. I had 1 for 4 years, never an issue, used all year round, no corrosion issues, very comfy, enough for riding over 300 miles in a day, very easy to service, get around 80mpg, quick enough for motorway riding. Spares are easy to get, via, Mash, 3X (the distributors), Herald, Tabao etc ..

Maybe, but if you were a cool 17 year old would you rather a bike with a cool name like Mutt Mongrel or one named after a well abused potato. Laughing

If it was topped with cheese, and was covering the contents of a cottage pie, Mash would win every time Laughing Laughing

Just looked at them, whilst they aren't my type... they are cheap. But you might as well buy an SV650/ER6 at that point, same cash but you know its a solid foundation.

I'd like to try a higher end (lol?) chinese bike... but I'd never be able to rely on it.

Very much aimed at the hipster market.

Would look good when wearing an open face helmet so you don't squash your freshly oiled beard.

Don't forget to add your new Belstaff jacket to the image.

Anyone for 'smashed avocado' on toast, with a side of arrogance?

https://thebikeshed.cc/london-venue/ probaby only ever parked outside here or their trendy pad in Hackney.

Mash 400

Is that named after "mash-up", that most famous of urban badass words.

* not a pile of cheesy spring onion flecked starch
* not the sour / smoky starter to a decent piss up in New Orleans or Kentucky
* nothing at all to do with monsters with bolts in their heads.

I like Robby, but he's the exception that proves the rule. He'd also probably deny he's a hipster... but he has a Moto Guzzi, sleeve tattos, coiffed hair, an enormous beard and wears a flying jacket WWII style...

Plus, now I have got the roary grunty thing back on the road, I really REALLY REALLY want to go to the Bike Shed MC and park it in that silly little alley they have there.

But I am too shy to go on me own.

Where DO real bikers park their bikes? I'm not parking in Dawson St (god forbid) and walking down Laughing Laughing

Apparently, he was doing that before it was cool.

If I say I'm not a hipster, does that make me even more of a hipster?

Discuss amongst yourselves, I'm busy knitting a beanie hat for my cat and listening to Ethiopian jazz.

One of those statements is true.

Just Youtube-searched it. Those scales make no sense. I think I need to clear my ears with some Cuban jazz.
