Google Home: Control your home; control your life.

Are you a big fan of smart devices? Is listening to music a major part of your life? Integrate your hobby into your life with the most convenience and satisfaction with a smart speaker. Google always understands what you desire and has thrown down the gauntlet with its introduction of the Google Home: a smart voice-controlled speaker that could win the hearts of both music and technology lovers.

How does the Google Home work?

⋆ Google Assistant, the best voice-recognition system on the market, can be found in Google Home. The two built-in, far-field microphones of the Home will never miss any of your conversations, and it will be ready to leap into action when it hears the right trigger words. However, address it with either “OK Google” or “Hey Google”, not just plain “Google”, to make sure it won’t get confused about what you are discussing.

⋆ A mute microphone button is hidden in the back, so no buttons, dials, or switches mar the Home’s design. When it hears your voice, four color LEDs light up to let you know that it is ready for its orders. The volume on the top of the device is touch sensitive; you touch it on its head and swipe your finger in a circle clockwise or counterclockwise to turn the volume up or down, while a ring of white LEDs indicates the volume level. This feature makes the Google Home design more fantastic for high-tech lovers compared to other devices using buttons and dials.

Is Google Home only a voice-controlled speaker?

⋆ The answer is absolutely no. The Google Home is also a smart-home device that allows you to ask questions and control simple devices in your house such as light bulbs. Although this technology is not new compared to Amazon’s Echo, a similar smart speaker and home-controller, the Home seems to be surprisingly complete in both design and abilities.

The Home vs other devices?

⋆ One of the advantages of the Home which outweighs other similar products is that it offers more contextual information for your queries based on previous inputs. For instance, when you ask it, “Who was the composer of this song?” and right after that, you follow with, “When did he write it?”, the Home would recognize who “he” is and what “it” is and will give you the date that the song was written.

⋆ The Home is integrated with Google services, such as Calendar or Keep, and can work with multiple Google accounts, while Amazon’s Echo, with Alexa, uses a single Amazon account which can cause some conflicts between family members using a shared account.

⋆ The Home works well with more than 100 different brands, including Philips Hue lights, the Nest Learning Thermostat, and Samsung’s SmartThings hub, which connects to a variety of other Z-Wave devices.

⋆ Finally, the design is a major drawing point for most high-tech users. The big black tower of the Echo seems a little too goth, while the Home’s shape is a more attractive and modern design. With a curvy shape and seven color options to match your taste, the Home easily wins users’ hearts at first glance. The Home received the best of reviews TheKingLive.com for design from Amazon users in just the first three days.

Conclusion

⋆ We can say that the Google Home is a must-have device for people who are obsessed with smart-home technology and have already entrusted their digital lives to the Google system. The Google Home brings Google’s search and voice-control expertise to maximize your satisfaction in controlling your home and your life your way.

Even a cursory glance of the forums would reveal the necessary information. Idgw anyone would sign up for a forum without spending a few seconds browsing it.

I actually think it's a spambot. Part of their wording reads like a section from a promotional leaflet.

Spam button coming soon unless they reply back or pass snatch photos over.

If it's a spam bot then it's not very good as it's not trying to sell anything. Razz

Hi all !

I'm Joss. This is my first post here. Nice to be part of this community. Hope everyone welcomes me.

My ride is a 2018 Giant Sedona, What they call a X-Trail bike with 26 x 1.95" tires and 21 speeds from 21 to 89 gear inches. It is built for comfort with it's bolt upright position. I enjoy having a bike that I can climb rough steep gravel trails and cruise at a comfortable speed on ash fault. Being retired I'm not in a hurry, So speed is not as important as comfort me.

Have a nice day ! Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

^^This... blatant advert!

Rolling Eyes

Saying what bike you've got is a perfectly normal part of an introduction post.

And in general, adverts tend to be for things you can buy.

Also, it takes actual human level stupidity to come up with "Ash Fault" as a spelling for asphalt.
