Does anybody believe that a professional geriatric like Gove (I have it on good authority that even at school he referred to the 6th form rooms record deck as "the gramaphone") actually imbibed of the snowy stuff?
So where are we at BCF on the politicians drug ingestion issue?

So what if he did?

Churchill is considered one of our most successful statesman, but along with a well known predilection for booze (to the point of alcoholism) it's alleged he spent most of his time off his tits on various drugs.

Does anyone really care about this stuff anymore?

I would contend that anyone who hasn't indulged in something edgy, hasn't lived a life and, potentially, disqualifies themselves from relating to the public they purport to understand.

Would I vote against Michael Gove because he snorted a bit of Charlie at some point?

No, but I would because he's a slimy little shit.

So far we’ve had Boris and the bus logo, the posh twat and the opium and now Gove raving it up on powder.

Is anyone on here that thick, other than Captain SMS?

Or George Osborne, David Cameron and Jeremy Corbyn?

I actually prefer 'odious little cunt'. If he's coked up all the time it would explain a lot.

Pointing out the prior lies of a prospective pm isn't a smear campaign, its pointing out that he's a lying little shitbag.

Personally, the fact that he ran away scared the last time there was a leadership campaign says more about his character.

I suspect he was about to be 'outed' and has revealed this himself as an act of damage limitation. Either that or he has calculated that the Tory faithful would forgive him and he could pick up other voters as a new, 'edgy' Gove, and has offered this tale for that reason...

And the other two conveniently timed smears for the other two candidates? Coincidence?

Next we’ll be saying there was nothing unusual in the 60% Rose of postal votes, mainly of Muslim voters, assisted by the Muslim Labour member who had previously been convicted of vote rigging.

We need a “People’s vote” Wink

You do realise that it's tories only? There's no chance of a socialist sneaking into the top spot, so you can shut your yapping about smear campaigns.

If there is, it's you heros doing it to each other.

I think there was a huge thing about whether or not Cameron did weed at university (I may be mistaken). He denied it.
Clinton famously said he'd smoked cannabis but "did not inhale."
Churchill was a well renowned piss head. For example he went to the US in the 1930's when prohibition was in full swing, but got a 'doctors note' saying he was allowed to get off his face on whisky.
Thatcher was also a heavy drinker, famously saying to her assistant that you needed whisky at the late hours to give you the energy to keep going.
I don't condone it at all, I'm just saying we're all humans, not robots. Except for Hitler, he was teetotal and never took drugs.

By the end of the war Hitler was addled to fuck on drugs. I believe that people said he was shaking so badly it was like he had parkinsons.

So much so that his personal doctor was known as the 'Reich Master of Injections'....

I agree it's a bit of a smear campaign, but there's a wider point worth considering.

Let's be realistic about this. Lots of folks try recreational drugs in their youth. Especially in the 60s, but I don't know, maybe even more so now. If we stop everyone who has ever dabbled, however briefly, from entering any kind of responsible office, we'll find ourselves struggling to fill those posts. And I'll bet at least half the people who whinge about it have imbibed a little themselves at some point.

Otoh, it may be that some politicians are total crack heads, judging by how they behave Laughing

So who has/does here.

I tried grass and hash in my youth, didn't think much of it. I did speed once, and when I woke up the next day I had flash backs of riding my bike though the Welsh countryside off my tits. I'm still not sure if I actually did it or not (was on a rally at the time).

Then I tried magic mushrooms, oh dear, that was not good. Sitting outside a pub in Weston-S-Mare at some god forsaken hour with 2 coppers with my head in a bush shouting 'you can't see me'. They could, I got arrested.

That was the end of my drug trails (except for medical Ketamine which was horrible).

I'm a booze man Dance!

So, now I've confessed, can I be PM please.
