...anyone got one and can give the good, bad, and ugly with it?

got a line on a good deal and it looks a little more versatile than the similar lomo one, but interested just to hear others experiences with them.

If you're going to be carrying 40 litres of stuff, it'll be far more comfortable on the bike, rather than on your back.

Once you eliminate the 'ruck sack' feature, you can buy a 40 litre heavy duty roll top dry bag for far less than £60

40 litres is potentially a lot to have on your back unless it's loose loft insulation you're carrying. I frequently stand up on the pegs for speedhumps/unavoidable holes etc. - that'd be much harder with weight on your back. If you have to brake hard, a heavy rucksack will be pushing into you too. That's not to mention any hard objects causing injury in the case of a spill.

I'd personally steer towards a tailpack (I know that wasn't the OP's original question!). Although pricier, I think the Kriega tailpacks are great - they do a 30 litre one, maybe even bigger ones? Or alternatively some cheap soft panniers - I got some Oxford Lifetime ones from Sportsbikeshop recently for about £100 and they're decent and have the advantage that soft things can be put into them without getting distorted (loaves of bread etc.).

It's more for just carrying some clothes and food etc for work. rather than a vast amount of weight. 40L is about the size of a standard little hand luggage bag, so it'll double up off the bike for camping and such. it does also have decent looking D-rings attached specifically for use as a tail-pack/pannier.

ordered at half price, I'll let report back on the quality.

(I know the lomo one is £30 as well, but it's smaller and that outside pocket upsets me)
