UK population hits 66.4m, with growth rate stalling
https://home.bt.com/news/uk-news/uk-population-hits-664m-with-growth-rate-stalling-11364372081156
Hmmm.
Well, other than just about every organisation with and interest saying there are up to 15 million more people in the UK that official figures show, that 'growth rate stalling' is utter bollox.
Net international migration in the year to mid-2018 was 275,000, which was “broadly in line” with the average of the last five years and including there was still more people born that died so how the fcuk can it be called stalling?
Twisting the terminology to make it sound better than it is? ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

The bullshit is that they know the exact figure of those coming and going legally and have done for at least 3 years now. They brought in exit border checks in April 2015 to accurately gauge immigration.
Why then, have they decided not to release the real figures, instead still preferring to release the old, notoriously low reading method? The old method involves basing the figure on an "International Passenger Survey" where a handful of people are asked at ports on entry, to answer a non binding question about how long they're planning on staying - Under 6 months or over 6 months. Anyone answering under 6 months (which most will thinking it's safer), are counted as visitors and not counted as immigrants.
I think we all know why the government carry on lying to us over this, as they've been caught out time and time again. Like FOI requests showing that a Net migration of 250,000 immigrants in a year, needed almost 700,000 new NI numbers.
It's just bullshit to keep the proles quiet now.
They can't build 1 bedroom DSS flats quick enough in my town. 20,000 a year and since the project started, crime has rocketed and the town centre now has an ethnic minority called White British, if you walk around during working hours. These are not London over spill, they're unemployable immigrants the government needs to dump somewhere. Thanks to Damian Green MP, we've been chosen as that dumping ground. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Its where the jobs are, so if they have to be housed somewhere it makes sense to put them where you live rather than where I do ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

It's not though. There is no infrastructure or job creation in the local area, no new businesses or industry and no more capacity to run trains to London for extra commuters, so where are all these immigrants, who spend all day walking around the town centre, working exactly?
No relation to the rocketing crime figures then? I don't think burglary and pick pocketing is a career or classed as working tbh. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Why is one measure of EU immigration to Britain nearly three times as high as the other?
That is the question Westminster’s Brexiteers are asking this week. The answer could shape the arguments both for and against Britain leaving the EU.
When an overseas citizen wants to start working in the UK they have to apply for a National Insurance number. The number of new NIs being issued is therefore an indication of the growth in the foreign workforce. 861,936 NI numbers were issued in the year to September 2015, of which more than three-quarters went to EU nationals.
But this is far higher than the official immigration statistics, which show that 617,000 people entered the UK in the same period, including 257,000 EU nationals. These figures are collected through the International Passenger Survey, which counts people coming into the UK at transit points such as airports (the confidence interval on that data is +/-32,000, in other words the true level of immigration was somewhere between 585,000 and 649,000 people according to this methodology.) |
