hi all

anyone had experience with superbike factory? good or bad? they have a good number of bikes and a few which I would like to test ride at the same time to get a good final feel for the MT09, Z800 and street triple before making a decision

cheers

It's 50/50 whether you get a good one. They do minimal checks on them before selling them. Sometimes they only wash them.

Mine was fine, had it 3 years now with no issues.

As long as you go in with your eyes open and check everything - literally everything - oil / brake fluid / disks / cables / electrics / battery / tyres / pads etc. Then great.

Buy one blindly without having it mechanically checked over and you may have a shock.

Presumably statutory rights apply though? If you ask the right questions and they answer them, if you later discover anything to be untrue, you have recourse?

I bought my R6 with them, overall I was really pleased with the service.
They don't follow you around like car dealers, they just leave you to it and will help when asked.

The bike had 12psi in both tyres when I picked it up and the battery was almost dead (was fine after a short ride).

I'd recommend them, they're not the cheapest out there but I saw a lot of nice bikes in there when i went last.

Eh? I'm sorry but not even checking tyre pressures before releasing a bike to a customer is exceptionally poor service, and could even be dangerous.

Bought my FJR from them, they gave me a very good trade in on my older FJR. Quite pushy, but they rely on fast turnover of bikes. I’d use them again.

In theory yes, in practise you could have a massive headache should you need to use your statutory rights.

That's what I was thinking. Handing over a Sportsbike to a customer with the potential of 150 mph with 12psi in the tyres AND a flat battery??? Obviously didnt do the pre pick up checks.
