No it doesn't. Third party insurance cannot be invalidated retrospectively.

No it won't.

You tell the MOT station man that you are coming for an MOT so that if you are stopped on the way, they can verify the statement you make to the police. EDIT: for clarity, to protect against being done for "no MOT".

You can ride home after (to the place of repair), having failed your MOT, unless the MOT man tells you it's got a "dangerous" fault. See https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/after-the-test for details.

For fuck sake, please fucking Google it.

Your insurance company cannot retrospectively cancel your insurance even if you murder someone whilst driving the fucking car. They can only do it from a future date.

Your reasoning is flawed, though. Failure to have a current mot won't result in insurance being invalidated. It's not even a points carrying penalty ffs.

I didn't say it would "result in insurance being invalidated".

In fact, I said "No it won't".

I added, after your comment "EDIT: for clarity, to protect against being done for "no MOT"". I hope that clears matters up for you.

Thank you for all advices.
In the end I've decided not to buy this bike
All was good with hpi etc but it's a big risk to buy a bike which was sitting for 3 years or so and the fact that it was his uncles bike as well.
Looking for same bike now but from safer seller
