How would something like a wr400 take to being restricted?

Also please suggest some other similar bikes to consider.

I would imagine this thread will get moved to New Bikers Forum or somewhere similar mate, but there's plenty of bikes out there that will restrict fine, I don't see why your asking what bike will restrict as the majority of bikes will, so why not pick a bike you like and restrict it? Razz

Yes a WR400 would restrict, well as its close to the 33BHP mark anyway.

Most bike restrict well unless there some 600cc supersports monster.

Have a look at www.fiinternational.co.uk to see if they actually do make a kit for that bike first too. Smile.

How hostile of you, he tried to help and all you did was scrutinize what he said and pick it apart, you could've at least been slightly thankful, that he spent the time typing out a reply trying to help you!

Firstly every restriction post I have made in general chat hasn't been moved.

Secondly i was'nt asking if it can be restricted, i was asking if it will run ok, as some bikes do'nt take to it very well.

I can also see that you are one of these people who says shall i restrict an r6, as no you should not restrict any bike you like, as some do not take it very well.

I was asking, HOW WELL would it take to being restricted, as i am aware some bikes do not like it.

Please informative answers only Rolling Eyes

Time of the month or something mate? Jeez, I was merely saying my piece to help you out on your question! I think you find your 'generalization' that you've put on me to restrict an R6 is completely incorrect. To be honest I think the bike would be a waste to be restricted, and that'd be a waste as the bike just wasn't manufactured to be restricted, so a lot of things wouldn't be right. In my eyes you asked one of the vaguest questions, and it was on restrictions, to my knowledge a lot of restrictions questions are asked in the new bikers section, thus mentioning it might get moved! Maybe next you should be a little more specific on what knowledge you have and what exactly you want to know Rolling Eyes

Sorry.

The way he said if you like it do it, sounded like he was meaning why make this post because at the end of the day you will do it if you like it, but i actually wanted to make an educated decision instead of just because i like it.

Mis-understood, my bad.

He didn't ask what you thought about the idea of getting a WR400 to restrict, he asked how well the bike would take it. Nearly any bike can be restricted to 33bhp, the closer to 33bhp it is the better it will take it so find out what the bhp is the closer the better. If you're going to be keeping it restricted then getting anything much more than 33bhp is a waste of cash as the insurance don't take notice of the fact it's only 33bhp they'll charge you as if it was full power but will want you to restrict it.

Not at all mate, I wouldn't post saying anything like:

'Marc, go out and buy a bike now, any bike as long as it's more than 33bhp and restrict it, it'll still run, won't it? Rolling Eyes'

Laughing

I wouldn't have even bothered wasting my time posting that, i've got better things to do, like try and feel better instead of being hungover Laughing And now ladies and gents.........Marc's original thread with no hi-jacking Wink Laughing

Just a quick note to add, it seems by looking at FI Internationals site it seems they do not make a restrictor kit for the WR400!
So your idea of restriction on one may be thwarted Smile.
