Nobody expects anyone to feel guilty for tbe past. Its people trying to deny the past thats the problem. A lit of the issues in the past are more likely to be repeated if they're not recognised for just how apoalling they were.

Of course they do, just google it and there are dozens of articles about how we should be apologising for the slave trade.

It's only the black slave trade that comes under consideration though, the white guilt trip. There is nothing about the prolific Arab slave trade. The amount of slaves taken by just about any conquering nation up till slavery was banned is conveniently ignored. Take the fall of Constantinople in 1453, over 50000 were enslaved. No one whines about that, or is there a statute of limitations on the older incidents. Rolling Eyes

Yes there is to a degree. The msssive profits made by european merchants in the slave triangle was pivotal in creating the modern world.

So what. If slavery is bad, all slavery is bad. Ancient Rome was built on slavery but according to your statement, those slaves don't matter.

I say again, the only reason we have the apologist slavery promoters is because it was BLACK slaves.

We are in an era where any non white person is lauded because they are not white. This isn't up for dispute, it's obvious in every walk of life at the moment.

Positive discrimination, Diversity and inclusion. The watch words of today. If you don't use them you are an *****ist.
