Have you passed your bike test?

So you haven't passed a test that gives you entitlement to ride a bike larger than 124cc?

Not technically? It's a simple question.

If you dont have a l;icence to ride it.. why be hung for a sheep as a lamb.. actually less offences riding a fire-blade with no tax, insurance or licence...

As to compatability.... spects thiun on the ground, hard to tell if its a CG copy motor or an EN copy motyor, either way at a claimed 7Kw it's no scorcher!

Pit bike engines, are usually Honda C70 Cub derived, as its an upright siongle, answr is its unlikely to be bolyt for bolt compatible... the CN derived motors used in some 'big-pits' may be a bit more do-able, buy it would be an the hard way about hacksaw-file and welding rod got rodding the thing to spend money making it less valuable and more illegal so bigger tears when plot sieze and crush....

And iif you have to ask.. you likely do NOT know enough to even try.....

Your call.... suck it up.... sensible would be get a fatster 125 to start with, save money, save hassle and actually stay legal and get what you wnat... more sensible still says suck it uyp and get old enough to take test6s for big bikes.. though a good 15 is as fast as anything legally allowed to go in this country..... how quick you want to loose licence you dont have yet?

How are we supposed to know that? We don't know whether you're able to do that. Laughing

For starters, could you fabricate all the necessary parts?

The single best upgrade you can get for your bike is to pass your test and get yourself a big boys license instead of wobbling around with Loser plates on your bike.

How old are you?

Why? Why not just have the lid off (if necessary) since you're a "on a mechanic apprenticeship", which will give you useful experience, and have the thing helicoiled (or do it yourself)?

Shush, now. Can't you see that he's trying to justify putting an engine in that would be illegal for him to use.

If the stud holes are fucked, you can drill and tap them up to the next size - so if they are M6, just take them out to M8. You can even get studs with different threads on each end, so M6 on one end and M8 on the other.

A pitbike engine won't fit.

Yes, but I thought I'd ask.... I know a couple of PFYs who do similar ridiculous things. Sadly one locally had his garage door closed permanently, in Milton Keynes, last Friday morning. Totally illegally on the road I am told. It seems that his garage door was in fact slammed shut by another illegal road user. Too close to home, so I am outraged, angered, distressed and saddened about the circumstances.

Isn't that when you get your arsehole sewn up to avoid the violent buggery of prison, or boarding school?

Finally! The voice of reason Rolling Eyes

And now the voice of unreason: why not just rebuild the top end? Replacing the entire engine with something entirely inappropriate seems like wasting time just for the sake of it.

Maybe you can't get a 125 pistol and barrel and maybe you can only seem to hold of something that takes it to 150 and maybe you won't get your collar felt later down the line...

It's hard to act indignant about someone wanting to put a 160cc 4 stroke engine in their 125. Back in the day we were all riding derestricted 2 strokes with plenty more power, and enough of them had 180 kits fitted as well.
By all means make the children aware of the risks, but there's no point refusing to answer questions because it's illegal.

Not that it matters because a pit bike engine won't fit. Wrong shape, wrong engine mounts. The engine fitted is probably a 157FMI, and big bore kits do exist for them, but it looks like they use the original head.

So those knackered stud holes still need a fix.
