...where would you go, when would you go? Forward or backwards?

I'd be tempted to check out the Roman Empire at its height, the parties sound awesome! The only kicker being learning Vulgar Latin Sad

I assume you are Britishish. No need to learn any languages, just shout louder in English and point a bit, they'll soon get the message.

Back til I was 18 again. I'd stop myself from making that mistake I made round about then. And I'd tell myself not to worry.

I'd go and see Stone Henge being built and the Pyramids just to piss of all the experts when I come back with all the answers. Go back to the big bang to just to prove that four wheeled cabbage wrong.
I would also go forward to prove all the remoaners wrong and the climate change religion to be a farce.

Oh and to go forward to next Friday for the lottery results.

I'd pop back a few years and try to get a job as a Queen roadie.
That'd be awesome.

I have far too many historic things to 'repair' though some things such as going back in time and NOT putting out the fire I lit on someone in a particular incident does sound appealing. I should have let them burn..

Yeah yeah lottery etc but it would be great fun investing in things such as Google and Microsoft back in their early days. That would be an exciting journey.

How accurate is the time machine? You know how a CD in a player sometimes sticks and the song jutters at the same point? I'd do that and give myself two days of solid orgasm.

It could be used to predict the future and one thing I DO NOT want to know is when and how I die.

Having prior knowledge of situations would allow you to influence outcomes, talent can be faked by enough practice. Rolling Eyes obviously never watched hot tub time machine.

If I had a time machine I'd go back to a time before you joined this forum.

Leicester Forest Services or Watford Gap Services northbound on the M1 (I'd have to check which it was) at about 3pm on Sunday the 4th of April 2004.

I could find out what happened to the trailer we were towing or I could take it a step further and stop the crash we were in from ever happening.

Oh the possibilities! I'm thinking taking modern day tech back to ancient Egypt and being treated as a God. Anubis wouldn't get a look in. I'd teach them all English with a West Midlands/Brummy accent, awesome!

You guys not heard of the Grandfather Paradox, or 'A sound of thunder'?
If you went back in time, even minute changes would result in an entirely different world, possibly one where you don't exist.
Example: I could go back to June 30th 1914, Sarajevo, and Rugby tackle Gavrilo Prinicip to the floor, thereby preventing World War I and saving millions of lives.
Unfortunately World War I is indirectly responsible for my existence (a great grandparent re-married after her first husband was killed in the war).
Therefore I wouldn't exist to go back and prevent the assassination, therefore the war happens and i do exist, therefore I do go back and prevent the assassination. Therefore....
You get the general idea.

There is a solution to this! It lies in the many worlds interpretation of Quantum mechanics, but is quite tricky.

Yes, that different matter cannot occupy the same space, else it turns into some nasty blob of horrible goo that then magically disintegrates.

Oh and also that certain people aren't very good actors.

To observe...I think some of the big land battles circa napoleon would be immense.

Then there's JFK, Marilyn, the old kill Hitler paradox, Jack the Ripper, WTC, the list is almost endless.

I recently saw a 'documentary' on the invention of time travel. Some yank invents it, then the Russians steal the tech and travel back in time and 'invent' it first!!

Most likely, you'd end up disappearing up your own asshole!!!

Just put the time machine down and back away.....

I go back about 200,000 years and teach the Neanderthals a few tricks that Homo Sapiens actually learned first, like the bow and arrow, agriculture, the wheel and so on. That way they'd probably become the last surviving human species instead of us and hopefully not make as big a fuck-up of the world as we did/would have.

About 9pm on Saturday night i would of elected not to go get some fuel and put some miles on the YR5. Then it wouldn't of blown a hole in another piston 30 miles after a rebuild.

Unfair question (Roman Empire under the Caesars already taken).

Maybe Renaissance Italy.

I'd go back and tell Harold to wear a visor when he next goes into battle.

Oh, and I'd like to go back and rescue Lady Jane Grey from the chopping block cause I'm a romantic at heart and she didn't deserve to die.

I'd go back 5 years and invent a wiper for motorcyclists that would save thousands of lives in the rain.
