Is £1200 close to or even higher than what you've paid for it? If so, sell it.

My advice:
Give him the 1200 quid and let him take it away before he changes his mind.

You know it makes sense

Good point, just being a greedy bar steward Rolling Eyes Still reeling from making a profit on the scooter Smile

Anyhoo, the potential buyer seems like a nice guy and I think it'd prefer he was out on a tame faux-cruiser... he mentioned he'd done his CBT 4 months ago and hasn't touched a bike since!

You're thinking too much.

Is your motorcycle a lemon? If not, then you are not greedy selling it for what the buyer offers you for it. If it was a lemon, it'd be a whole different story and the BCF would probably call you a cxnt.

Let's call all this ''being financially literate''. It makes sense to sell it, if you don't need nor want it and there is profit.

Take the money now and not later. Chances are, they might find another soon and you'll be kicking yourself.
Remember too that Summer will soon run out and they might change their mind..

Just a sanity check really...

Despite the fact it's Chinese I really love it! But Mod 2 this week and when I pass (eternal optimism!) I've promised myself something ~650 as I want something that goes "you want to go at 60? no problem..." rather than "let me get back to you in 10 mins" Smile

Cruisers are on the rise. They will probably dominate bikes in the UK within a couple of years. This is because public habits have changed.

(Hardly anyone smoking any more) + (less socially acceptable to ride without wearing bike gear) = More cruisers

Sell it. Use the money as a deposit for a Spock650 and enjoy that. They're on 0% finance in a few dealerships!

I say sell too! Relatively modern 125's are easily replaced if you make a sickening mistake. And everything has a price, I let a lovely old Rover turbo go to a new home for a nice profit once, and I managed to sit on my hands for 6 months before I climbed the walls and had to get another one that was betterer and faster. Laughing

Just stay away from nice clean Aprilia SVX550's until I get offered one, as we'll fall out OK!

Sold! Had a nice ride over to Ascot to deliver it. Well I say nice...

Good weather, lots of hills, twisty bits, good surface. On the way I kept thinking "this would be so much better if I had a bike with some guts" so all in all a good farewell ride. I'll miss it and I won't if you know what I mean.

Can I haz firebladez for 1200 squiddlies ?!

Thumbs Up

£1200 of fireblade.

BCF loves you long time. Wub

And because we care, we're going to advise you not to rush into buy a fireblade for £1200 unless you're wanting a bike which is as much of an ongoing project as it is a mode of transport. Laughing
