Finally, third time lucky!! Dance! Dance!

Woke up this morning with a beautiful sunshine and blue sky and I made the way down to Eastbourne test centre for my 8.40 test. The decision was to have it very early so that the rush hour traffic could play in my favour … the longer I am stationary in traffic the less chances to make mistakes!

I was feeling really good and tried to remember all the valuable advise my instructor gave me last night after my last lesson … not to take the left corners too side, to make progress and not to be hesitant, not to look like I would drop the bike every time I stop … and so forth. Well his presence was well in my head as I did follow all his suggestions, did my u-turn without any faults and the emergency stop fine although I did stall the bike as I moved off the centre of the road!.

Then half way I stalled it pulling away from a busy roundabout Doh! and lost my concentration a bit, started to wobble and started to take those left corners a bit too wide! Also the wind really picked up and it became quite strong!

Anyway I really thought I failed after stalling at the roundabout but carried on doing my best and as we got back the usual questions about carrying pillions and then the moment of truth … on this occasion you have … the examiner very serious not letting anything away until he said the magic words … passed!

9 minors , 2 for stalling the bike twice and the other for general control and progress … still a pass!!!

Will be going shopping at the weekend for a bike!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Can’t stop smiling, just like a cat that got the cream!!

Congratulations mate - I just passed mine today as well! One minor fault for putting a foot down too early as I pulled up, a bad habit from the scooter, otherwise, a good ride. I was only out on the road for 15 mins, I almost felt cheated!

Just arranged the insurance on the bike, and popping down the road to pick the little beauty up now (nice new Fazer 600 Very Happy)

Me = very happy

Well done anyways, and I'm so damn envious of your new bike. Getting mine on friday.

Going to write up some detail on your test for others to see? why were you on the road for only 15 mins?

BikerBob, I'm getting a 1994 FZR600. Looks nice but not so expensive I'll be crying in my coffee over a drop. Besides, I've found the insurance carries a big premium for new riders who go fully comp in their first year of riding.

Inglesina94, sorry for continually hijacking your thread..... makes you look real popular tho Very Happy
