have a crusty sock and a disproportionately large arm.

I personally have no objection to your religion - but I have no interest in it either. Maybe if you stopped forcing your beliefs down the throats of a motorcycle forum you’d get more respect? I imagine that most here don’t care about who or what you believe in. Why don’t you bugger off, find some interest in motorcycles then come back and maybe discuss them on here instead of leaping straight into your beliefs?
I firmly believe and defend your right to believe in whichever brand of God you choose. Why don’t you give me and others the same respect and allow us the same privilege? If I want advice on God and religion I’ll bear you in mind. Ok?

Well.
that's that then.
Thank you very much BCF
That's another friend I've lost thanks to your juvenile, mentally backward behaviour.
Every time I bring someone home whos not a slavering, drug befuddled, atheist sodomite
you're always utterly beastly to them,
Every time
No wonder I've got no friends.
Honestly, I've never seen such naughtiness

I must admit I've experienced some reluctance mentioning you in my prayers lately you know.

What? All 13 in one Accord?

It must have been for an early issue of the Guiness book of records.

It was the station wagon version.

Believing in a god is unfathomable to me, I am lucky enough to have grown up in an Atheist home and by this I don't mean my parents were active in discouraging me to believe in a god, they just didn't bring the subject up.

This is what religious folk dont quite grasp, I don't wake up each morning an Atheist and do Atheist things, I just dont care for their claims on how the world was created and go about my life trying to die without being too much of a c*nt.

What does make this version the best? God, as a concept and in the sense you speak of, is not an 'merican, nor English. Why would be, when he was invented in Italy, well in the middle east, probably Egypt, or wherever they took the original idea. But, the Bible you love so much was written in Italy, not that long ago by the way.

Please think about what you are saying. God is not American or English, but we...are. So we read in...English. Therefore, logically there must be a possible good translation, or bad. In the English, the King James Version is a perfect translation. It has no errors, does not decide what was being said, etc. It simply, basically word-for-word translates. With the individual is the understanding(by God's grace) or not understanding of what is being said. To know the exact details and ins and outs of what they did, in their careful translating, you would have to study Preservation of Scripture.

God is no concept. The Bible was not written in Rome, except one or so books, while in Roman prisons. The Roman Catholics are not Christians. Study the history. They attacked Christians. They mixed Christianity with their pagansim, and even to this day, the statues of Mary and Peter in Rome are their former false gods.

The fantastic part about this is, the responses on here have been *nice* for this forum. They have been well thought out for the most part.

The issue is, that religious people can't understand those who are not. Whereas those without religion DO understand (by and large) those who have it, and understand their cognitive biases.

You got treated well on this forum Joshua.

Ahh. Judging.

It constantly amazes me just how judgemental a lot of christians can be when their scripture specifically and repeatedly tells them not to be.

What I do not like about religious cults is that they often refuse to acknowledge any other such cults and theories. Our god is the only one, other gods are false, our book says the earth is 2500 old, our book says this and that... and so on even though it was proven, that christianity takes ideas from all the religions that came before. Even though there is scientific proof of the age of our planet. Also notice how god (christian concept) saves more people in the developed and wealthy countries than in Africa and other not so wealthy places. Why is that? Thinking

Also, when normal people talk to themselves and hear voices, they are institutionalised. When a religious person hears voices, it's alright, for some reason.

When you refer to us as 'the Imperialistii', I suppose you mean the people who discovered the place, populated it and developed it so people of your generation can live there with roads, farms, mines, industry, bridges and other infrastructure? Of course those same people, largely from England one way or another, became Australians and have continued that job of making it a fine country. Nobody is forcing you to maintain your links with us. They exist, because your own people want or wanted them to exist, and the day that isn't the case, you can stop.

Have I gone off on one here? Maybe. Gday. Smile

No - you got that wrong.

You haven't communicated with anybody here. Everyone thinks you are a nob, including the esteemed Mr Forte. He has credence here because he comes here to discuss motorcycles. We are happy to accept his Christianity as part of his make up. He did not come here to provoke a row like you did.

That's just one of the hypocritical and dissociative errors that some American fundamentalists make. Another rather stark one is the way they glory in amassing wealth while espousing a religion created in the name of a man who preached about the evils of money and how his followers should sell all they had and give the money to the poor.... Try telling that to your average American fundamentalist. There are very wealthy TV evangelists who specialise in taking donations from the poorest in society and spend it on their own lavish lifestyle.

What's your favorite part of the bible?

For me it has to be Ezekiel 23:20...

There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses. So you longed for the lewdness of your youth, when in Egypt your bosom was caressed and your young breasts fondled.

Beastiality & pedophilia all in one verse. Thumbs Up

We had a short discussion via PM. He stopped responding because I said there was incest in the bible. He claims there is not...

He didn't mention the fact that I also covered rape and slavery too. I was trying to make the point that morality is subjective, and therefore cannot come from a single publication, even a flawed one.

Meh. I'll have my fun some other way.
