Hi All.

the house we moved into some time ago has an alarm fitted.
the LCD panel says its provided by Rhino.

the unit i believe is a Pyronix Enforcer.

i have a key fob to set/unset the alarm etc, however we have been getting the odd alert/alarm about batters and a power cut.

i understand there is a means to reset the board and gain access to the panels engineering menu.

is this in anyone's area of expertise ?

Call Pyronix and ask to be diverted to technical, explain the situation and tell them you'd like a copy of the installation and user manual emailing over, it'll all be in there Thumbs Up

If you got the code for the alarm rather than just the fob, then the code usually brings up the settings menus.

Also is this any help?

Why not just replace the internal battery, find the main unit, get the wife ready at the remote unit with your code, when you take the cover off the main unit it will trigger the tamper circuit, replace battery, refit cover and then enter your code twice to reset the alarm.

Had a similar experience at my lads house recently
Alarm going wonky, couldn't set it, obscure fault code, no one knew the engineer password

It was Nominally an ADT and they were utteryl disinterested when they discovered it was
no longer under their maintenance contract and wanted £180+VAT just to visit

Fuck em says I and intewebbed until we found the actual maker ( Not ADT they just rebadge it)
A quick PDF dpwnload told us how to reset it and get into the engineer menu and set new passwords etc

i made the situation worse before it got any better.
which ended up with the control panel detached from its housing with all the wires disconnected and at the same time the external siren waking up all the neighbours at 9am.

managed to plug the control panel back in to silence the siren, but it was bitching no end.

managed to find a local alarm person who was able to rest the unit and give us a new master code.
replaced all the batteries in the 6 wireless sensors.
replaced the battery in the key fob
and provided a new 2nd key fob.

he did the job on the same day i called him and it cost me £160.
to be frank it was a relief to get it it all resolved and i was happy to pay the man.
