Mechanically it should be fine with 20k miles. With only 10bhp on tap it is not exactly over-stressed. Even if something does break it should not be too expensive to repair. One thing I would be slightly concerned about though are the electronic bits. These are known to be a weakness on this bike and they can be a real pain to diagnose and fix and can be a little bit expensive. Check it over thoroughly especially the electrical bits and ask about servicing. If it shows any kind of abuse or neglect, particularly from off-road use, walk away.

It could have had a succession of mechanically ignorant owners who've done very little maintenance and so it's in desperate need of many things doing or it could have been lovingly looked after with no expense spared and so it's in perfect condition.

There are far too many variables to judge based on the mileage.

You're interested in the condition of the bike rather than the number of miles on the clock so as Martin says, ask the seller about the service history.

Post a link to the advert and we should be able to offer more advice. Thumbs Up
