Practising 'peg drags' and the bike is hardly leant over; doesn't look promising.

Bloody hell and the rest of you mad lot live nearby! Any of you remember when the school was Southdown Junior on Mount Road? Worked there. Used to go down Pennyquick at 50mph on my Honda 50 in the 70's (top speed!). I've not always been a Harley freak! I may well have known you or more likely your dads. Don't know what age you guys are. Worked and lived in Bath till the 90's.

I'm the only bathonian here.

What's the name of the band from snow Hill that got a few number one singles? For some reason I can't remember.

You've just quoted the nearest school and a few roads after I've named the town and road. Anyone can do that. Name the band.

There was a very well known (amongst the punks) album in a case on the wall in the bell by a regulars band. Name the band.

Which terrace would you be likely to meet members of Hawkwind in?

Tears for fears.

The other answers I'll keep to myself.

Don't know the band. But the Bell on Walcot Street was my local - my shop in the 80's was opposite (photographers). Hat and Feather up the road. Walcot reclamation further down. Won't fail tests cos I was Bathonian. Lived on Cotswold Road in the late 60'S, Sydney Place opposite Holbourne in 80's and Warminster Road later. Played at Moles (under Hole in the Wall) in the cellar in my band. Knew Southdown area well. Photographed weddings at St.Barnabas, Twerton, Abbey, Bathwick, Weston - everywhere in fact - as we were the city studio in the 80's.

Of course. John Baker who was with Tears when they were Graduate, came to the studio in 87. He brought Roland's Stratocaster (Tears) which I was able to play for a few minutes. The recording studio was just up the road.

And thats where you fucked up.

Moles is alongside and above 'Hole in the wall' (which is a resturant, btw).

There's a whole fucking pub between them.

Well I know the pub opposite the Theatre Royal had a venue cos my bother played there in his band but can't recall the name. That was a gay bar so wife and I gave that a wide berth! Come to think of it, that was the Loft so it was up high. Lots of hotels - maybe after my time. Not a night club sort. Moles club was underground.

Name the landlords of the Hat and Feather (seeing as you know the name) and the bell.

Nah, no I'm sure we played underground at Moles then but I may have been pissed! Hole in the Wall was posh could not afford those prices. Brunos was there too in the 80's I think. On the Paragon I think. Memory fades. Went back to Bath 2 years ago - nice little pub in Northumberland Passage I think. Played at the Park Tavern on the Bristol Road in a duo act around 2000.

Go knows either! first went to the Hat in '72. Some arsehole put in my shop window with a Christmas Tree on New Years Eve opposite the Bell in 87. Old music shop opposite the library by Pultney Weir was Duck-Son and Pinker . Long gone I think. Married the Mrs. at the Beaufort hotel in 74. I think that is now the Hilton.
