While working in Holland in the 90's a group of us worked out what the worst job in the world was after a visit to Amsterdam.

As we all know they are a very liberal people those Dutch. Some of their sex shops have little booths in complete with toilet roll (so I hear) for you to view one of the various movies they stock.

The worst job in the world would be cleaning said booth.

There are blokes in India who crawl around in sewer water looking for scraps of value. Actual shit-ridden sewer water, crawling on their hands and knees, up to their necks in it. They pull up the drain cover and have to be lowered in by someone else.

I had a walk through the sewer under The Highway near Wapping Lane and the bloke who was down there to re-point the brick work was eating his sandwiches whilst he waited for us to come and inspect his work. This was whilst sitting in a stream of water with turds and toilet paper floating in it.
