Anyone had one? If so, what do I need to watch for.

There's one available, unadvertised, locally for what seems cheap money. Insurance isn't crazy, so I think we'll see how it rides unless someone gives me reason to run away screaming.

I've never heard of any on going problems with them but how much of that is due to the fact there can't be very many sold in the UK I really don't know.

One of my riding group had an F4 a few years back. It was a beautiful thing but the issues he had were unending. The main thing that was never cured being overheating.

It's the sort of bike I think I would only have as a second machine and would never totally trust it!

Take a look at maintenance costs and parts supply/infrastructure. MV are hardly a prevalent brand in the UK. It being Italian is a red flag. You may well end up waiting a month for something like a calliper cover because its made by Gianni, who works only every other Tuesday. Afternoon.

Join the MV forum.

Dodge the owner bias.

I run a 2010 F4 and have had no problems(because I hardly take it out).

Like Dukes of old..well any bike really but moreso the Italian machines there will be a golden one. A certain model from a certain year that is better than the others.
Case in point my ST2 from 2000. Ultra dependable once I'd fitted thicker gauge wire from the stator...Think it's got 60,000 miles on it now.
The ones from 97-99 were prone.

So yeah, look into it https://www.mvagusta.net/forum/forum.php

My Kung Fu teacher has an F4 1000 Senna. You need to ride it at over .100 leptons to keep the engine from overheating. I was discussing this when Chris Newbigging from Practical Sportsbikes popped up in the Facebook group I was on, and heaped praise on his own 750 Brutale, which doesn't sound like it has any of the problems of it's sportier brethren.

Dealers are patchy, with some being outright criminals, but if you can find a good dealer they are well worth a go I reckon.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

It's a private sale. Owner just doesn't ride anymore. Everyone so far has pretty much said "No, it's Italian, it'll be trouble" without even seeing it. This isn't my favourite Brutale (800RR), but it's also *significantly* cheaper, and it's a Brutale, any of them look damn nice if you like that sort of thing. However, I'll be keeping an open mind about why it's cheaper, and why it's not sold.

I wouldn't get an F4 1000, I know they need to be ridden in a manner that would earn me another ban in a hurry. The Brutale, less so. My back wouldn't thank me either.

Price got jacked up when I asked about seeing it, so I'm not getting it.

What an utter tosspot for doing that. Luring people in and when interest shows they raise that price.
