Yesterdays party political broadcast from Labour after the budget was terrible.

Basically KS interviewing families who said 'gives us more money' and KS saying that Labour would. It was, I presume, meat to tug at your heartstrings about how little the Conservatives care but it just came across as gimme gimme gimme.

Yes, people have had it hard but the money tree is pretty bare despite what Labour say.

I think there is 3 Labours now. Old - Wilson, Foot, Benn and co. New - Blair and Woke Labour - KS, Abbott and co.

You won't find that in Guardian or BBC, of course.

If Labour get their way, probably 3-year-olds before long.

Someone once said that Labour was the answer, well it must have been a bloody stupid question.

Sir Kier on the naughty step for visiting a church, that's been turned into a vaccination centre, because the pastor is known to have campaigned against gay marriage.

A Nigerian pastor of a Christian Church - campaigning against gay marriage. Who....would....have....thought Laughing

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-56644740

LGBT+ Labour Group - whuuuuut - forgave him though, genuine mistake innit, wouldn't have thought a Nigerian Church would be so anti homosexuality, I mean it wouldn't stand to reason, would it.... so you know.

A friend of mine sent me this because he think Boris Johnson is getting a free ride in the press lately, and that all negativity towards him is being suppressed. Perhaps, just maybe, it's because it's not quite so hypocritical when you haven't declared yourself to be a right-on-wokester.

It's the intersectionality piece that really throws out the best mental gymnastics shapes innit.

Diversity is our strength - yes, Nigerian witch doctors exorcising the LGBT out of people is fantastic cultural enrichment; let's have us some more of that.

Oh wait, hang on, you think all homosexuals should be stoned to death? Well, there's a quandry.

He was chosen as the powers in Labour thought he fool the working classes of the North into thinking Labour were back as their party and not a uni/London commie protest party.

It hasn't worked.

Oh I'm not going to support cronyism but if you think it's limited to the tory party you are giving a very good imitation of Horatio Nelson.

Just off the top of my head, HRH Diane Abbott's son landed a plum job in the foreign office despite being somewhat mentally deranged. I'm sure he got there on merit. Rolling Eyes

Politicians all have their noses in the trough, every single horrible one of them. .

I'm sure he stayed out of jail on merit, too.

But yeah, Labour have never given cushy contracts to their mates and vested interest companies; never Exclamation

Not for me. Too many of them have bought into crazy for my liking. Not saying the Tories are great, but out of the two, think I'd still have to choose the latter as things stand right now, sleaze or no sleaze. I think it's probably the worst time to be voting for the left at the moment.

I tend to agree - which is unfortunate as:

Yeah, we're not in a good place right now. All I can say is that the government, for me, is so far holding the line against the stupidity of the EU, and is showing some fight back against the crazy of the radical left. Plenty to dislike though.

And because everyone tacitly accepts thats what the Tories are all about then they let them off whilst if it's Labour then because Labour are ostensibly the party of the ordinary people and any corruption is evidence of hipocracy there are howls all round. It's bad whichever party but it's only one party where it's practically standing party ethos to be corrupt.
