Hi all!
This is my first post on the forum. I’m having a spot of trouble with the speedometer. It’s fluctuating all over the place. Checked the ‘nut’ on the sensor and there’s no wear so I’m assuming it’s the sensor itself.

I’ve found a replacement on eBay in the States for a 2007 model. I’m wondering if this would do: it looks the same and I’ve been told that the wiring loom is the same from 2006 onwards.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Jack

I would check the battery and wiring first before you throw money at it, have you done the Speed Sensor test on page 20-4 of the manual?

I’ve ordered the part from the USA. Should be here in a couple of weeks. Don’t know what it is with companies who say the stock is in then once ordered/paid for it’s not!!

Many thanks MeatyBeaty!

Check it's charging properly, fluctuating speedo/rev counter can be an early indicator of charging system failure.
