ER6n - wires under seat

I've recently got myself an ER6n (A6S model) and there are 2 unconnected wires under the seat that are puzzling me.

From what I can gather from the service manual, the orange/black wire with the female bullet connector is the "self diagnosis terminal" but I'm not sure of the other two.
Any ideas?

Have the 2 wires been spliced in to the Service connector and what colour are they , they look like Factory connectors

Yeah i think that 4 pin might be the ecu terminal...

When you get some of those addons like a gear indicator, this is what you connect it to...

Also used for servicing and talking to the ECU...

I could be wrong but thats what it looks like.

Oh and on mine its on the right hand side of the frame...

I will have a look when I get the bike back out tomorrow (just put it away).
They look like Orange/Green and Green/Black but I'll double check that tomorrow.

Yeah, as you say, that one's for the KDS etc. It's the other two that don't seem standard.
Mine's also on the RHS of the frame but I moved them across to get a better pic Smile

Hi, looking again at the wiring , seems there's a Orange/Green wire comes from the ignition to the fuse box , changes to Brown/Yellow and on to the Turn signal relay, just wondering did your bike have Hazard Flashers, or Bike Alarm

So...the two wires with the female bullet connectors are spliced to the diagnostic plug.
They've been done professionally so I haven't investigated much further (don't want to disturb it too much in case of water ingress etc)
Apparently it used to be a school bike back in the day so I'm guessing it was switchable between A and A2 at some point in its life.

There's also a small (5mm) hole in the RH side cover where a switch could have been?

It does, but they're fitted as standard.
