That's a rip-off of the Bob Heath Vee-wipe which has been around for decades. Have to say that's a brilliant bit of kit actually - I wouldn't be without one in shitty weather.

No better than a glove, -which is perfectly adequate.

Massively better than a glove, actually - it has a squeegee blade like a windscreen wiper; but if a glove gives you adequate vision in the rain then fine.

Been using those for years. Great bit of kit. Recently bought another after the last one failed. A glove on its own was nowhere near as good, unless your glove actually has a wiper on it.

If only there were a friendly way of mounting it on your visor. It would save lives.

Driving a motorcycle in some places is so dangerous by the time you have read from the start of this sentence to here 2 people will have died in a traffic accident on a motorbike.

Rain

RIP everyone.

I had an idea for a kickstarter campaign...

It's a pain drying off a bike with the weather we're having so how about this:

Get a good bike cover - one with the elastic bits front and back and the strap round the middle. Cut a hole in the centre of the cover. Fix a flexible hose (like you'd have on your hoover) over the hole and then have a hair dryer at the other end.

And we can call my creation:

Back in 2010, my old Dainese tourer gloves had a rubber strip mounted on one of the fingers, which worked perfectly well. Has the idea not yet been taken up by glove manufacturers across the board??

Looks like the cheapo version you linked to. Even they admit it has some failings:

Please note:
- do not attempt to fit when cold - the rubber will break!
- this is a universal item that might not fit if you have very large hands / thick gloves

Definitely not practical!

My Richa winter gloves have this although I forget it’s there and use the glove itself. Doh.

My 7 year old Triumph gloves have a rubber blade on the thumb.

AFAIK, any half-decent winter glove will have a squeegee/blade/wiper on the thumb. My Spada enforcers do, same with my Frank Thomas gloves.

The mention of the moisture mate and its inventor will get you told off. Verboten at this point. I assume he went full fuckwit because BCF was hurting his supply of suckers to keep the scam going.

He's not our friend, buddy.

We're not even allowed to discuss that product / scam.

But worry not my wiperless friend, the prophecy foretold that one day there will be someone of an unspecified gender who is clever enough to succeed where the ungrown man failed.

I'm sure the folks at the bona fide Rainpal will be mightily pissed at you lot saying there is no product, they've been making these for years...

Real genuine product

I use one of these wipers and I agree, game changer. Much better than the built in ones on my Held and other gloves too, I don't bother with those rain repellant sprays anymore now.
