Theoretically, it's still a roundabout, regardless of how someone got onto it you should give way. They might be in the wrong, but you've pulled out in front of them. Eyes of the law though, probly 50/50.

That was my thought too, They shouldnt have been there to hit the driver, but equally - the driver should have avoided the accident.

Probably a due care and attention for the other guy though Smile

Quote as read on facefart:

"I've lost faith in humanity to the extent where I have to look both ways when crossing a one-way street."

This quote was attributed to Tom Hardy but I find that dubious.

Burnout. Smile

But personally, Id say whoever starts moving first Smile

First one to say "fuck it" has right of way Smile So me, I have right of way most of the time Wink

With regards to the original premise I was always taught that other people's illegality is irrelevant, it's your own business you should be concerned with. I always consider "Right of Way" to be the answer to the question of who goes next or has priority. If someones already answered the question, albeit with the wrong answer, there's nothing for you to consider.

At the end of the day, no-one wants to be in an accident, so we should all be looking out for other peoples mistakes...

Ok - put the idea of an accident out of the equation.... Lets say you saw someone creeping through a no entry slowly and purposefully (the wrong way) - onto the roundabout you were waiting patiently at.

If they tried to sneak across before you, would you let them and nod politely, or beep and drive across cutting them off at the pass.

You give way to vehicles already on the roundabout, where they came from isn't relevant.

If for some reason you are entering from an unusual place it would be sensible to be cautious in case those at the next entrance weren't expecting you.
Nothing about that in Highway code though.

Nobody.

My brother got a £30 fine for failing to comply with a traffic sign for going straight over a mini roundabout which had the main road and a cul de sac off it at 3am. The copper was sitting 10m back up the minor road with his lights off waiting for people to do so. And they say the police are under staffed!
