I hope someone can explain me the cause of my problem.
I was riding my cbr 500 year 2013 down the motorway and while accelerating to about 85mph all the warining lights came on, that is oil level, coolant and injector failure lights and at the same time injector stopped giving fuel so that bike started deccelerating despite having the trottle open. I have hold the clutch so that i could get to the left lane and once i slowed down to about 60 mph the lights went off and i could ride as normal again. I have looked at the engine and it didnt seem too hot, the oil was about the lower level, so i carried on to get back home about 40 miles and this hasnt happened again. Any idea what might have happened?

Maybe the rev limiter, accelerating to that speed in lower gear?

Stating the obvious - electrical gremlins

It's probably going to be nigh on impossible to trace because the issue has gone away.

However I'd be checking all connectors I can, especially multi connectors to the ECU for corrosion, looseness or damage.

Maybe someone else has experienced the same and can give a definitive answer but I've never experienced that sort of failure. Usually it's total power failure, no electric at all.

How about you repeat the circumstances but with people videoing it?

Removed the battery positive before the negative recently?

I'd look at all the main units and plugs. Fuses etc.

Play attention to manual for fault codes if any are present at start-up, and how to check the bike for those stored away.

Wouldn't really advise riding it before identifying cause. A bike loosing power and doing its own thing at those speeds/any time would have me on edge for a few rides.

Check for kinked/trapped wires/exposed wiring too.

Would make no difference whatsoever unless the tool on the positive terminal was also touching the frame but the sparks, smoke and exploding battery would be a giveaway.

Reg/rec, battery or charging system. Did the clock/trip meter reset itself as well?
