Hi,
I've just moved to Guildford, Surrey from Glos and I'm also new to BCF (everyone seems very friendly)!
I was hoping that someone would be able to point me in the direction of any meets in the local area. Infinity Motorcycles in Aldershot seems to be a popular place: does anything get organised from there at all?
I am also considering joining the Wey Valley Advanced Motorists in order to pass my IAM test and meet some new friends! Does anyone know of the group or is anyone a member?
Hope to see a few of you out on the commute into London village tomorrow!
Thank you Very Happy

Welcome to BCF. Thumbs Up

There are quite a lot of BCF people around Guildford area, and biggest meet nearby is Boxhill on every Sunday but probably slowing down quite a bit with the lack of summer now. Join the South-East Usergroup for stuff happening.

Nothing at all, it's unorganised chaos there, it should have a "warning, don't let us even touch your bike" sticker on the door. Razz

Thanks for the info Ste. Joined the S East forum a few days ago but have only just looked inside. There seems to be lots happening.
Is Infinity no good then? They were quite helpful in terms of advice but was thinking of sending the bike their way for a service: perhaps not!?

Thanks Cliff also. I'm not too familiar with the local B roads so insider knowledge is good. Most of the time I'm sat on the A3! Funtastic!

I used to have to do the stretch of the A3 from Ripley/Send to Guildford eveyday on a 50cc. 30mph down the A3 is not fun. Evil or Very Mad
Theres some nice twisties in ripley come to think of it... Thinking

Welcome.

The 'Berkshire Massive' pride themselves on being one of the more active BCF areas, so I'm sure we'll see you out there sometime. Smile

I wouldn't recommend taking your bike to Infinity for anything which will involve them coming near your bike. They did a good job of managing to break my TL1000R for me. Have a look in the South East forum as there is a thread called South East info which details which places are good. Thumbs Up They're fine for stuff which is off the shelf etc, got lots to choose there.

There's stuff happening quite regulary around the area, lots happening in Reading direction on a fairly regular basis. Smile

Out of interest what bike etc you have?

Ste,

My bike is a CBR600 FX (a 1999 model) in black and silver. All standard except for a carbon fibre tax disc!
I wear black two piece Dainese leathers with red shoulders and upper arms. (Except on the way into work when I put on the waterproofs and a stunning 3M Fluoro jacket: they can't say they didn't see me)! Very Happy
