Rules on BCF say we can't.
And that rule is still enforced.
I don't know why as most rules on here are ignored.
Now it's only a matter of time until we can mention it.
Perhaps our moderators will get bored.
And then we won't have to make vague references.
Like everyone has to at the moment.

Each one touch 2ml spray ejects above. 2ml of liquid provides a clean visor.

It was always my assumption that the most vociferous attackers of the aformentioned "it", who suddenly vanished into thin air (eg Borg, Cansa but not Ste for some reason?!) had been jumped on from a great height by legal eagles outwith the forum, and had decided that discretion was the better part of valour?

Really?
Always knew there was something dodgy about their departure.
I think we'll never know the truth.
Now we're just left wondering what really happened.
Perhaps one day they'll return.
And the world will have wipers on visors.
Luckily we've not died in rain related circumstances yet!!

It's always been weird how they all stopped posting at the same time.
Some say Legal Aarons shit on them for a great height.

Alternatively they'd got bored with BCF.

Suppose wipers for visors never arrive?
Come on, what if we're doomed to always be wiperless?
Assuming BikeJet and NobWipe never make it to production, we're totally fucked.
Meh.

Time for an update? Well, not much to update you on really. The bike is still in Ireland and what with current travel restrictions, not much is likely to change for a while.

I have been researching the whole situation and think I may have a plan. Get it over here by one means or another. Inform HMRC about import, but probably won't owe them anything given age and condition of said vehicle. Restore the bike, insure and MOT it using VIN number (bit of a ballache, but some in the trade reliably inform me it can be done) then fill out V55/5 form. And that should be that. Thoughts/comments?

I'll expand a little on the situation we're in. Essentially, my old man bought this bike from lad he worked with. My old man is really shit at paperwork and kept meaning to get the papers for the bike off the lad, but never actually did. The outfit they both worked for (engineering contractors) goes under. Lad moves away (back home abroad) and all contact is lost with him. So any chance of getting the reg papers goes out the window. My old man could register it in his name without the logbook, but the Irish system is a real faff and he's terrible at admin tasks (I'm pretty sure I've only had 2 birthday cards in the last 10 years because there's too much paperwork involved). Hence why I will have to do it all.

Back when he first bought it, I took it for a few long rides into the mountains and fell in love with it. But as time went on, he didn't look after it and after much badgering, I'm finally getting my hands on it. It's been stood undercover, but exposed for the best part of 7 years, so it's gonna need work. I'm setting aside a couple of grand, with the contingency for a little bit more (if I ask wife really nicely). That's assuming it's not a total basket case (I inspected it last November time and it looks salvageable). As for what the bike is... I shan't divulge until it is safely tucked up in my garage, but you can have a teaser...

Hmm, Google reverse image search says its a PlayStation 2 Fishing Rod controller.

I can see why you’d want to keep that quiet.

We’ve only been locked down for 3 months or so, yet you’ve been trying to sort this since November.
I’d have been on a ferry and had it sat in the garage by Christmas and sorted out the paperwork afterwards!

Run up to Christmas. Didn't have the spare fundage to hire a van, pay for the forms to take a hire van to ireland, pay for the ferry crossing and all the fuel for the journey. Additionally, there's a high chance I can get it piggy-backed over here with one of the engineering outfits that my old man hires in from over here. He's pally with a few guys who make the crossing in nice big mostly empty vans. Seems daft to drop north of 600quid getting it here when I could get it brought most of the way to me for 50quid and a crate of beer... That's money I can spend restoring it.

I wish... it's too old to be an "r". S4r was 2003, S2r was a year or so after that if memory serves...

If it was me and I’d wanted it at home, I’d have had it sat in the garage in bits by now!

Oh I've definitely over milked it.

Circumstances and finances halted play, not necessarily in that order.

So what’s the plan? When do you go and get it? Have you sorted the paperwork out yet?

Heading over in a borrowed van next month. Got a couple of weeks off work and we've abandoned all hope of a family holiday this year, which has freed my time up.

The paperwork is an interesting one... It seems theres a chance I can get hold the lad my old man bought it from. With any luck he'll still have the vrc. If so, it should be plain sailing. If not, I'll do the NOVA as soon as it's over here, fix it up and go down the v55/5 route.
