It's too late anyway. We need to accept change (man-made or otherwise) and deal with it. The ecology will suffer but adapt, which is sad but inevitable.

And there we have the central problem: the Marxists posing as friends of Gaia are all against change and adaption, they couldn't give two shits about the planet or the people on it: that's just a vehicle for their regressive ideology.

I wasn't sure whether to post this here but it's ecological sh1t so why not.

London’s Beech St to become UK’s first zero-emission street

https://home.bt.com/news/uk-news/londons-beech-st-to-become-uks-first-zero-emission-street-11364419037214

I have no idea where this is and have never heard of it but it seems very 'token gesture-ish'.

Note - Emergency services, refuse collection and deliveries will be exempt so it's just another case of hit the public but don't force the council to pay for new vehicles.

Edited to add, on Google street view it seems to be under buildings so I suppose it's a reasonable shout.

I must really be getting old. I remember when Marxism was denounced for its progressive ideology.

At the end of the 19th Century these ideas may have been fresh and "progressive" but then we had a century to see where they'd go when practically applied - mostly manifesting as mayhem and mass-murder Shocked

It's one of those things that works on paper but doesn't stand a chance when actual people are involved.

The most obvious is that in all actual Marxist states there are leaders and those leaders expect to have the best of everything.

You could argue it's obvious even in the Labour party. Sending their kids to private schools. Using private health care. Yes, they have every right to, but not under the system they are espousing so it's an instant damnation of what they want to implement.

Although the Marxist state is in a much better position to implement climate change controls as they don't have to get their populations onside, just shoot them if they don't comply. It's probably more effective than a tax on coffee cups.
